Having a legal and compliant fleet is essential for a company in the construction sector. They currently run six HGV’s, 14 vans, 13 company cars and nine trailers, all of which are operated simultaneously from one site and handled by logistics manager, Mervyn Rolf.
Challenges
Swift Scaffolding Ltd have always been aware of the importance of having a safe, compliant fleet, and this is demonstrated by their commitment to FORS, having gained Gold accreditation.
It was vital for them to find a fleet management solution which could help with the monitoring and scheduling of all their key dates, such as MOT’s, Services and road tax renewals as their previous processes for managing fleet created hours of cross referencing work.
Logistics manager, Mervyn Rolf, said, “Before I decided to put FleetCheck’s fleet management software in place, everything was being managed on paper or on whiteboards making service dates really difficult to keep on top without spending hours sorting through paperwork to pin point key dates.”
As the logistics manager for over 40 vehicles, Mervyn needed a solution which would give him complete assurance that the vehicles and drivers were legal and road-worthy, and that the systems they were going to be installing were going to be user friendly and time saving.
