Every month, you’ll hear some advice from someone who knows the scheme inside out – a FORS team member!
FORS Quality & Assurance Manager Nerija reminds operators to read their audit action plan following an unsuccessful Bronze audit.
If you have been unsuccessful in passing your Bronze audit, please make sure you:
- Review the audit report and the action plan
- Resolve all Major action points identified in the action plan
- Book a follow-up audit
- Undertake your follow-up audit within 30 calendar days from initial notification
There are two different types of action points: Minor and Major.
Major action points – these are awarded when you have failed to meet mandatory requirements of the FORS Standard. To address these, you are required to demonstrate the improvement measures your company have implemented to the processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the Standard. You have 30 calendar days from the notification of the results to rectify these and evidence at a follow-up audit.
Minor action points – these are awarded when you have partially met the requirements of the FORS Standard. Please note that any unresolved minor action points will escalate to major action points at the Bronze re-approval audit the following year.
M1 section of the action plan is an overarching section summarising the overall audit outcome. Once you have rectified other sections within the action plan, M1 section will be automatically rectified.
We recommend that you book your follow-up audit as early as possible upon receiving notification of your audit result. Read the Bronze Audit toolkit for further information.
