FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, has announced a new partnership with leading global insurance broker Aon plc (NYSE: AON) to launch a tailored insurance offering for its FORS Accredited Operators; Transport Insurance – arranged by Aon.
Aon becomes the latest FORS Affinity Partner, joining a select number of companies which supply their branded products or services directly through the scheme.
Launching today (04 August 2025), the new insurance solution has been developed to give FORS Accredited Operators access to flexible and cost-effective cover, alongside expert-led insight to ensure that policies remain compliant, comprehensive and fit for purpose.
FORS represents almost 5,000 fleet operators across the UK, supporting best practice across road safety, operational efficiency and environmental performance. Transport Insurance – arranged by Aon adds further value for FORS Accredited Operators, giving them tools to identify and manage risk, and to avoid the pitfalls of underinsurance, duplication or insufficient cover.
Developed specifically for FORS Accredited Operators, key benefits of the new insurance include:
- A free, no-obligation insurance and risk review, designed to highlight coverage gaps, underinsurance or unnecessary duplication
- Access to tailored fleet insurance policies, with flexibility to add or adjust cover as operational needs change
- Dedicated support and advice from Aon’s experts; experienced in commercial fleet risk
- Practical guidance and insight to help FORS Accredited Operators improve awareness of their insurance position and take proactive steps to reduce risk exposure
By combining FORS’s operational standards with Aon’s global insurance expertise, this new initiative is intended to help operators protect their people, vehicles, and business continuity, while streamlining the way they manage insurance.
“FORS Accredited Operators go to great lengths to ensure their operations are safe, compliant, and efficient,” said Geraint Davies, FORS Concession Director. “However, insurance is often overlooked until something goes wrong. With Transport Insurance – arranged by Aon, we’re helping operators take a proactive approach. It allows them to understand their risks better, improve the quality of their cover, and ultimately stay better protected in today’s operating environment.”
Geraint Davies, FORS Concession Director
Rhod Breeze, head of SME partnerships at Aon, added, “Tailoring insurance solutions and employing flexibility so that they meet each business’s needs is something that Aon takes very seriously, not least of all as it’s estimated that 50% of UK businesses may be underinsured to some degree. Therefore, it’s important that businesses regularly review their insurance needs to ensure they’re buying the right level of cover and that their policy adequately covers their requirements.
“By providing FORS Accredited Operators with access to our free insurance and risk review, we’re able to provide them with insight into where there may be gaps in their cover, or deficiencies in their sums insured, and help them to increase awareness of their own risk profile.”
