FORS is pleased to announce that free FORS Practitioner workshops are available to book for April, May and June 2020 in locations across the UK.
Click here to access the list of FORS Practitioner workshop dates available. Places are limited to two delegates per organisation and are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Dates from July onwards will be released next month.
FORS Practitioner is a series of 10 workshops covering all aspects of fleet management, specifically designed to equip delegates with the tools they need to make their operations safer, smarter and greener. Delegates attending all 10 workshops become qualified FORS Practitioners, joining an elite group of over 1,900 individuals who have reached FORS Practitioner status.
The FORS Practitioner workshop topics are:
- Workshop 1 – Developing Fleet Management Policy
- Workshop 2 – Managing Work Related Road Risk
- Workshop 3 – Managing Driver Fitness and Health
- Workshop 4 – Managing Driver Training and Development
- Workshop 5 – Collision Procedures and Analysis
- Workshop 6 – Safe and Efficient Fleet Management
- Workshop 7 – Reducing Fuel Use and Minimising Environmental Impacts
- Workshop 8 – Minimising Transport Fines and Charges
- Workshop 9 – Measuring and Monitoring Road Fleet Performance
- Workshop 10 – Managing Noise in Logistics
Under Gold requirement ‘G5 Professional development’, the ‘Responsible Person,’ or other nominated manager involved in the fleet operation, must be working towards achieving the FORS Practitioner qualification at initial FORS Gold accreditation, while FORS Practitioner status must be achieved by the Gold re-approval audit.
Under Silver requirement ‘S5 Professional development’, FORS Practitioner workshops 2 and 5 can be used to demonstrate the Road Risk Champion requirement, whilst workshop 7 can be used to demonstrate the Fuel and Emissions Champion requirement.
A reminder that transitional provisions in place to assist operators with meeting the new Practitioner qualification requirement at Gold, and new Champions’ requirements at Silver have ended, meaning that operators must be able to demonstrate that they have undertaken this training at their re-approval audit.
Each FORS Practitioner workshop counts as 2.5 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours – equating to 25 CPD hours for the full ten workshops.
We appreciate that plans may change, but as these workshops are very popular, please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel a booked place. The FORS Professional cancellation policy should be viewed in advance.
