Last week saw the launch of FORS Practitioner workshops as live webinars delivered by our regular FORS trainers. We have already trained an impressive 166 delegates whose face-to-face training was cancelled in March due to government restrictions, or who were booked to attend classroom manager training in April.
Eric Ewen, from Eric Ewen Limited, said, “Personally as an owner operator I feel this is the way forward – it enables someone like me not to lose any income and still enjoy the experience. Brilliant job. Well done to all involved.”
It is great feedback and we are really delighted to have been able to convert this training within such a short period of time thus continuing to support our members’ professional development in this way.
Each FORS Practitioner webinar lasts around two hours and attendance counts towards the FORS Practitioner qualification, which requires members to complete all 10 FORS Practitioner workshops.
We are currently inviting onto the webinars all delegates who were booked to attend cancelled classroom-based training and will roll the training out to the wider FORS membership once demand has been established.
Other previously classroom-based manager courses that are being delivered as webinars are:
- Collision Management
- Car and Van Fleet Management Essentials
- HGV/PCV Fleet Management Essentials
The cost to attend discounted training such as Collision Management and Fleet Management Essentials webinars is £50 per person.
Sonia Hayward, FORS Manager, said, “FORS appreciates that members may be facing incredibly challenging times and may struggle to attend any online training at the moment, but we would encourage members to make the most of their membership and to continue with their professional development online. Whilst on-site audits and downgrades are suspended, attendance to any online eLearning or webinar will still count towards meeting the FORS requirements and help with FORS accreditation in the future.”
