CHAMPIONS
Your route to best practice
What is a FORS Champion?
Benefits of becoming a FORS Champion
Working with FORS operators helps improve operational standards, meet local air quality targets and ensures a safe and efficient road transport supply chain.
FORS is built around continuous improvement, where operators strive for even higher operational standards as they progress through the levels of the scheme. FORS accreditation goes beyond basic legal compliance, with our operators able to tangibly evidence how they far exceed the legal basics by following our unique mix of driver and management training, robust auditing and statistic-based efficiencies, backed up by a range of online support tools and guidance.
FORS accredited operators comply with both CLOCS (Construction Logistics and Community Safety) and Transport for London’s WRRR requirements.

Specifiers
Which level will you specify?
FORS Bronze accreditation confirms that an operator employs good practices and complies with the requirements laid out by the FORS Standard. This includes demonstrating dedication to driver and vehicle safety, combined with improving operating practices through effective monitoring of fuel and tyre usage, vehicle maintenance and performance management.
FORS Silver accreditation is for operators who maintain FORS Bronze accreditation and are committed to becoming safer and more efficient, while reducing their environmental impact. FORS Silver operators will have developed driver licencing verification systems, vehicles over 3.5 tonnes will be equipped with a left turn audible warning system and vehicles will be also fitted with blind spot minimisation devices.
FORS Gold accreditation is for exceptional operators that have met specific targets and have maintained Bronze and Silver accreditations. The operators will actively promote the FORS Standard.
What is a FORS audit?
At audit operators provide evidence of systems, policies, procedures and documentation to demonstrate that they meet the required standard.
