What is a webinar?
A webinar is a virtual event that is delivered online – it can be live, or it can be recorded. It is an educational or instructive session that includes audio and visual communication between a speaker and attendees. Webinar software enables the sharing of slides and interactive participation through chat boxes and Q&A features for example.
How do I book FORS Professional manager training?
All FORS Professional manager training is booked via the FORS Professional Booking Platform. Once you have accessed the FORS Professional Booking Platform, you will be able to select the course(s) you want to attend. Once you click on the relevant course, the platform will show you the dates and times available for the course. Once you have selected the place(s) you want to book, you will be taken through a process to complete the booking. Payment is required at the time of booking your place.
What platform do you use to deliver FORS Professional manager training?
FORS Professional courses are delivered via Teams.
What equipment do I need?
- You will only be able to access Teams using a PC or a laptop with a working microphone and camera.
- If you are using your work computer/laptop, please check before the day of the training that your work IT security settings do not prevent you from accessing any of the links
- It would be ideal to connect to the internet with a cable rather than through wireless connection- wireless connection can often be too slow to access videos
- For best user experience we recommend using a device with a system processor i5 or higher, preferably with 8GB RAM or more
- You will need to log into Teams using the unique URL provided in the confirmation email as this assigns the training you have booked to your own account. Failing to log in using the unique URL means that the training you booked will not be available in the platform.
How can I log in/join the webinar?
Log in to the platform using the unique URL provided, then under ‘Upcoming Live sessions’ in the homepage, click on the red highlighted icon to enter the session. This icon will be red when active or grey if the room is inactive – click on this to enter the lobby.
Before every live session (webinar), you will join the lobby. You will have the options to set up your camera, microphone, and audio output. There is also a button to save the settings so that it will be available for you the next time you login. When satisfied with your setup, choose your live session, and click “Join Room”.
What can I do if I am being removed from the webinar?
If you get removed from the session with any issues such as poor network or connection, refreshing the page should allow you to re-enter the session.
Can people see me during the webinar?
Yes, you will be seen by the trainer and all the other delegates attending the webinar. It is mandatory to keep your camera turned on throughout the webinar. Please note that our trainers take attendance registers throughout webinars to confirm attendance.
Do I need to interact?
Interaction is highly recommended to all delegates. The trainer will be asking questions during the session and will try to interact with each delegate. Your microphone will be muted when you join but you can unmute as and when required.
Do I need to fill-in a feedback form?
Your feedback is important to us, therefore you will be asked to fill-in a quick survey after each webinar. For a detailed step-by-step guide on how to access the feedback form, please click here.
Is there an assessment at the end of the webinar?
Yes, there is an assessment, made up of 10 questions. You will have three attempts and must get eight out of 10 questions right. If you fail, or if you don’t complete the assessment, your training record will not be uploaded, and you will need to attend the training again. Please note that you must use Google Chrome.
How do I access the assessment?

Will attendance to the webinar count towards my FORS Professional training?
Once you have completed the webinar and you pass the assessment, your training record will be uploaded to the FORS Professional training register. Please note that you must attend the whole webinar as well as complete the assessment for your training record to be uploaded, and trainers must be able to contact you throughout to confirm attendance. Please note that this can take up to five working days from the day of the training.
Do the webinars cover the same content as the classroom courses?
Yes, the webinars replace the classroom courses and have been adapted to meet the same learning objectives.
How much does it cost to attend a discounted FORS Professional webinar?
The cost for the discounted FORS Professional webinars can be found on the FORS Professional Booking Platform.
Payment will be taken at the time of booking via credit/debit card or Pay Pal.
How long do the webinars last?

Can I add myself on the waiting list if a webinar is fully booked?
Yes, if the webinar is fully booked, there will be an option to add yourself to a waiting list. You will then receive an email inviting you to book as soon as a place becomes available.
